It is not possible to get to Canazei by train. The nearest train station is in Ora Auer, which is a little more than 2 hours by bus from Canazei.

From the Danish/German border, you only have 13 hours’ drive to this ski paradise. However, you must consider that the last 50 kilometers into the city, are a long and tough journey, which will probably take you over an hour and a half.
Not because you’re driving on bad roads, but because it goes up and down, a little to the left, and then quickly to the right. Therefore, it’s difficult to drive at full speed on that stretch.
If you think the trip is too long, and you prefer to fly, the airport in Verona is 198 kilometers away, while the airport at Venice is 222 kilometers from Canazei.
The airport in Bergamo is probably the one you can get to most often and cheapest, and it is a 4-hour drive from Canazei by car.

Canazei hosts the most beautiful viewpoints from Pecol and Col dei Rossi. Canazei is distinctly known as a skiing area, but it is very welcoming all year round. The town is in the picturesque, beautiful, and utterly breathtaking valley, Val di Fassa.
Here we find Sassuolungo, where there are over 3100 meters to the top. We find Marmolada, here there are over 3300 meters to the top, and we find the smaller mountain range, Gruppo del Sella, which at its highest point is over 3100 meters above sea level.

If you need a break from skiing, you can put on your snowshoes and go for a walk up to Sass Pordoi, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters.
The trip starts down from the center on foot and continues by cable car up to the “terrace” as it is called due to the view you get from up there.
